Find third-party apps in the App Store
You can find apps designed to work with your Apple Watch:
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
- To browse apps, tap the Featured or Search tab.
- Tap an app to download it.

- Enter your Apple ID password.

Manage your third-party apps
When you set up your Apple Watch, you get the choice to install all your apps now or later. If you choose Install All, any apps on your iPhone that are compatible with Apple Watch will sync to your watch. And any updates to apps on your iPhone, or any future app purchases, will automatically sync. If you don't want all your app purchases to automatically sync:
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone and tap the My Watch tab.
- Tap General > App Install.
- Turn off Automatic App Install.
If you select Choose Later, the apps on your iPhone that are compatible with Apple Watch won't automatically sync. If you want to sync an app that's compatible with your Apple Watch:
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone and tap the My Watch tab.
- Scroll to the app that you want to sync, then tap it.
- Turn on Show App on Apple Watch.

Uninstall an app on your Apple Watch
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone and tap the My Watch tab.
- Scroll to the app you want to remove, then tap it.
- Turn off Show App on Apple Watch.

Manage Glances
You can use up to 20 Glances on your Apple Watch. By default, Apple Watch uses nine Glances, though you can edit these at any time.

Edit your current list of Glances
Open the Watch app on your iPhone, tap the My Watch tab, then tap Glances > Edit.
- Remove a Glance by tapping
. Then tap Remove. - Add a Glance by tapping
. - Rearrange the order by pressing and holding
. Then drag and drop the Glance.
Show or hide a Glance for a particular app
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone and tap the My Watch tab.
- Scroll to an app, then tap it to see its settings.
- Make sure Show App on Apple Watch is turned on.
- Turn on Show in Glances. Not all apps offer a Glance setting.

Manage notifications
Your third-party apps will use the same notification settings as your iPhone. If you don’t want your Apple Watch to mirror the notification settings on your iPhone:
- Open the Watch App on your iPhone and tap the My Watch tab.
- Tap Notifications, then scroll to the Mirror iPhone Alerts From section.
- Find the app, then turn off the setting next to it.

Manage complications
You can add complications to your watch face for some third-party apps. To see which complications you can use, open the Watch app on your iPhone, tap the My Watch tab, then tap Complications.
- Remove a complication by tapping
. Then tap Remove. - Add a complication by tapping
. Then go to your watch face and firmly press the display to customize your complications. - Rearrange the order by pressing and holding
. Then drag and drop the complication.
