iTunes: Transferring media from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or iPod

Depending on your Apple device, iTunes can sync media such as music, movies, TV shows, photos, podcasts, and books to your device. With iTunes, you can transfer media that you purchased through the iTunes Store to your iTunes library.

You can transfer media using these methods:

  • iCloud automatically updates Photo Stream photos on all devices using Photo Stream3.

  • Download the podcasts from their original source.
Movie rentals

 

  1. iTunes in the Cloud is supported on up to 10 devices:
    • iPhone
    • iPad
    • iPod touch with iOS 4.3.3 or later
    • iTunes for Mac or Windows 10.3 or later
  2. downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBooks Store, and iTunes Storewhich content types are supported for iTunes in the Cloud by country
  3. iTunes Match is supported on these devices:
    • iPhone
    • iPad
    • iPod touch with iOS 5.0.1 or later
