If an iCloud restore takes longer than you expected in iOS 9

If you try to restore your iOS device from an iCloud backup, and the restore seems slow, try these steps.

  1. Check your Internet connection. If you have a weak or intermittent Wi-Fi connection, the restore can take longer.
  2. Plug your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in to power, so your device will stay charged during the restore.
  3. Wait for the restore to complete. 

If the iCloud restore doesn't finish and you have an iTunes backup, you can also try to restore using iTunes.
