The steps in this article are for Safari in OS X Yosemite and earlier.

To resolve this issue:

  1. Open Safari.
  2. From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen, choose Safari > Preferences.
  3. Click the Privacy tab.
  4. Choose an option other than "Always block" to the right of "Cookies and website data."

The default option for Safari is to "Allow from websites I visit." This setting is recommended.

If you want to block cookies temporarily when you visit certain websites, use Private Browsing windows in Safari.
