To complete the confirmation process, you will need to enter the account information that was used to purchase the iPhone. Follow these steps:
- Verify that your phone number is the one that was used to purchase the iPhone.
- Tap Next.
- Enter your billing zip code and Social Security number.
- Tap Next.
If you see a message saying that the information you entered is incorrect, try again. If it still doesn't work, contact Apple for further assistance.
You can now proceed through the rest of the setup assistant. After this process is complete, if you would like to use a different phone number with the iPhone from the one that was used to purchase it, perhaps another phone number on a family plan, contact your carrier. Depending on your carrier and iPhone model, you may need to obtain a new SIM card for it to work properly on the new phone number.
If any account changes have been made between the time the order was placed and completing this process, you may need to contact your carrier to complete the activation process.
