About iTunes Pass

iTunes Pass gives you another option for adding funds to your iTunes account balance at Apple Stores or select retailers.

With an iTunes Pass, you can add funds to your iTunes account at Apple Stores or select retailers. You can use the funds to buy music, apps, movies, books, or TV shows*.

You can use iTunes Pass in the iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, or Mac App Store. You can't use iTunes Pass to buy items in the Apple Store.

Create an iTunes Pass

On your iPhone or iPod touch:

  1. Open the iTunes Store app.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap your Apple ID. If you're not already signed in with the Apple ID that you use for iTunes Store purchases, sign in.
  3. Choose View Apple ID.
  4. If prompted, enter your password.
  5. Scroll down to the iTunes Pass section and tap "Add iTunes Pass to Wallet."
  6. When the Store Card appears, tap Add in the upper-right corner.

After you add an iTunes Pass, open Wallet on your iPhone, iPod touch, or Apple Watch, and present the iTunes Pass to a Specialist at an Apple Store or select retailer. Tell them the amount that you’d like to add to your balance. The Specialist will ring up your purchase through the store, and scan the iTunes Pass on your device to update your balance. You can use your iTunes Pass right away.

You can add to your account balance using iTunes Pass at Apple Retail stores in these countries:

  • Australia
  • Belgium
  • Canada
  • France
  • Germany
  • Hong Kong
  • Italy
  • Japan
  • The Netherlands
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Switzerland
  • The United Arab Emirates
  • The United Kingdom
  • The United States

iTunes Pass is also available in select retailers in these countries:

  • Cyprus
  • Estonia
  • Germany
  • Hong Kong
  • Italy
  • Malta
  • The Netherlands
  • Slovakia
  • Slovenia
  • The United States

You must add to your iTunes Pass in the same country in which you established the iTunes account.
