Request iOS apps through the Volume Purchase Program

Learn how your institution can request redeemable content codes or managed distribution for iOS apps like Keynote, Numbers, Pages, GarageBand, and iMovie.

If your business or educational institution is enrolled in the Apple Volume Purchase Program (VPP), you can request redeemable content codes or managed distribution for Keynote, Numbers, Pages, GarageBand, and iMovie for iOS for qualifying iOS devices purchased or activated on or after September 1, 2013.

To qualify, you must be enrolled in VPP for business or VPP for education. You also need devices that support iOS 8:

  • iPhone 4s and later
  • iPod touch (5th generation)
  • iPad 2 and later
  • iPad mini (1st generation) and later

If you qualify, you'll need your invoice or purchase order. Make sure that the number of eligible iOS devices is clearly marked. If you bought devices before September 1, 2013, but activated them later, you'll need the serial numbers for those devices.

Request the apps

To request the apps:

  1. Visit the Volume Purchase Program Fulfillment Portal
  2. Sign in with the account that you use with the VPP store.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions. Make sure that you have a copy of your sales receipt or proof of purchase available.

After you receive codes or apps, you can't change the distribution method.

You can also request free Mac apps through the Volume Purchase Program.
