Resume your download
Your download might have been interrupted because iBooks lost its connection to the Internet, your Mac restarted during a download, or the Internet connection was too slow.
To resume your download:
- Open iBooks for Mac.
- From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen, choose Store > Sign In. Then enter your Apple ID and password.
- Choose Store > Check for Available Downloads.
- Click the download icon
in the upper-right corner of iBooks. The pop-up menu that appears lists your downloads and information about each download.

- Click on the resume download icon
to resume your download.

If the steps above didn't work for you, try the steps below:
- Make sure that you're connected to the Internet.
- Restart your computer.
- Check for updates for your Mac and install any software updates.
- If you use Wi-Fi for Internet access, try using a different Wi-Fi network when you download. If you connect to the Internet through a home network, try restarting your Wi-Fi router. Also, check for and install any firmware updates for your Wi-Fi router.
Refer to your router manufacturer's website for more information on how to update its firmware. - Try using an Ethernet cable for wired Internet access instead of using Wi-Fi.
