Generate a temporary Support PIN

A Support PIN is a security measure used to verify your identity when you contact Apple Support.

You don't always need a Support PIN (personal identification number). But if Apple Support needs to verify your identity, we might ask you to generate one.

  1. Sign in to your Apple ID account page.
  2. In the bottom-left of the screen, click Support PIN.
  3. Click Generate Pin from the pop-up window. 

Your PIN is generated instantly and will appear in the pop-up window. You'll also see how long the PIN is valid. When prompted, give the four-digit PIN to the Apple Support Advisor you're working with.

You can use the PIN you generate only one time.
