Write a review or leave a rating in the iTunes Store or App Store

Using an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC, you can rate and review items, such as albums, movies, books, podcasts, or apps, in the iTunes Store or App Store. On an Apple TV (4th generation), you can rate apps.

If you're using Family Sharing, you can only review content that you purchased, not items that your family members shared with you. If you try to leave a review of an item that a different member of your family purchased, you might see a message that says you have to have purchased the item directly.

Also, if you used a promo code to get an app or other content, you might not be able to review it.

iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

1. Open the iTunes Store or App Store app.
2. If you're not signed in, sign in with your Apple ID.
3. Find the item that you want to review, then tap Reviews.
   
4. Under iTunes Customer Reviews or App Store Customer Reviews, tap Write a Review.
   
5. If prompted, enter your password.
   
6. Select a star rating, enter a title, write your review, then tap Send.
   

Your review might need to be approved before it's published, so it might not appear immediately.

Mac or PC

1. Open iTunes.
2. If you're not signed in, sign in with your Apple ID.
3. Click iTunes Store.
4. Find the item that you want to review, then click Ratings and Reviews.
   
5. Under Customer Reviews, click Write a Review.
6. Enter a title, select a star rating, write your review, then click Submit.
   

Your review might need to be approved before it's published, so it might not appear immediately.

Apple TV (4th generation)

On an Apple TV, you can rate Apple TV apps that you own. (Add reviews or rate other apps or items such as movies, music, and TV shows using an iOS device or computer.) To rate an app:

1. Go to the App Store and find the app that you want to rate.
2. Scroll down to Ratings, then select "Select to Rate."
   
3. Swipe to select the correct number of stars. Press the Touch surface to save your rating.
