Mac notebooks: About the "Ignoring accidental trackpad input" option on computers with the Multi-Touch trackpad

Are you trying to locate the "Ignore accidental trackpad input" trackpad option on the Trackpad tab in Keyboard & Mouse System Preferences—or the Trackpad System Preferences if using Mac OS X v10.5.6 or later—on your MacBook, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air computer with a Multi-Touch trackpad?

This article has been archived and is no longer updated by Apple.

The "Ignore accidental trackpad input" trackpad option no longer appears in System Preferences. Functionality for "Ignore accidental trackpad input" is enabled automatically, by default for these computers.
