There are two ways to check the revision of the boot ROM.

Apple System Profiler 2.1.2 or later provides Boot ROM revision information. To view the revision information, choose About Apple System Profiler from the Apple Menu. On the System Profile tab under the Production Information selection the following information appears:
- (EXAMPLE)

The version of Apple System Profiler that shipped with Mac OS 8.5 or 8.5.1 retail packages or updates does not include this information. 3. The Boot ROM Revision is displayed at the top of the screen.

 4. Type "bye" followed by <return> to continue starting up in Mac OS.
