Smarter chemistry16

  1. Actual formatted capacity is less and varies due to many factors. Storage capacity subject to change based on software version, settings, and iPad model. 1GB = 1 billion bytes.

  2. Size and weight vary by configuration and manufacturing process.

  3. iPad mini (A20 Pro) is splash, water, and dust resistant and was tested under controlled laboratory conditions with a rating of IP67 under IEC standard 60529 (maximum depth of 1 meter up to 30 minutes). Splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent conditions. Resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear. Do not attempt to charge a wet iPad; refer to the user guide for cleaning and drying instructions. Liquid damage not covered under warranty.

  4. Apple Intelligence is available with Siri and device language set to Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, or Vietnamese. Some features may not be available in all regions or languages. Some devices may not be available in all regions. Siri AI is available in beta in iPadOS 27 and requires an Apple Intelligence–enabled device set to a supported language. Available in English, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish to start. Siri AI will not be initially available in the EU on iPadOS. Siri AI is not available for users under 13. Certain Apple Intelligence features that rely on server-side models are subject to daily usage limits, including but not limited to Siri AI, Intelligent Photo Editing Tools, Image Playground, and AFM 3 Cloud models in Shortcuts. Daily limits may vary by feature, request complexity, system demand, system policies, and other factors. Expanded access to such features will be available for a fee in the future. Use of these features is subject to the Apple Intelligence Terms and Conditions. Learn more at support.apple.com/148587.

  5. FaceTime calling requires a FaceTime-enabled device for the caller and recipient and a Wi‑Fi connection. Availability over a cellular network depends on carrier policies; data charges may apply.

  6. Wi‑Fi 7 available in countries and regions where supported. Data plan required for cellular connections. 5G, Gigabit LTE, LTE, and Wi-Fi calling are available in select markets and through select carriers. Speeds are based on theoretical throughput and vary based on site conditions and carrier. For details on 5G and LTE support, contact your carrier and see apple.com/ipad/cellular.

  7. Cellular data plan is sold separately. The model you purchase is configured to work with a particular cellular network technology. Check with your carrier for compatibility and cellular data plan availability.

  8. Not all carriers support eSIM. For Model A3596, see your carrier for details. For Model A3597, contact China Unicom for more details.

  9. Siri may not be available in all languages or in all areas, and features may vary by area. Internet access required. Cellular data charges may apply.

  10. Testing conducted by Apple in September 2026 using preproduction iPad mini (A20 Pro) units. Testing consisted of full battery discharge while performing each of the following tasks: video playback and internet browsing using Wi‑Fi or cellular data network (cellular models subscribed to LTE and 5G carrier networks). Video content was a repeated 2-hour 23-minute movie purchased from the iTunes Store. Internet over Wi‑Fi and cellular data network tested by browsing 20 popular web pages. All settings were default except: Wi‑Fi was associated with a network (except for internet browsing over cellular data network); the Wi‑Fi feature Ask to Join Networks and Auto-Brightness were turned off; Brightness was set to 50%; and WPA2 encryption was enabled. Battery life depends on device settings, usage, network, and many other factors. Battery tests are conducted using specific iPad units; actual results may vary.

  11. Testing conducted by Apple in September 2026 using preproduction iPad mini (A20 Pro) units, and USB‑C Charge Cable with Apple 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max (Model A3351) or Apple 35W Dual USB‑C Port Compact Power Adapter (Model A2571). Requires an outlet that supports up to 1.5A at 100‑240V, 50‑60Hz. Fast‑charge testing conducted with drained iPad mini. Times measured from the appearance of the Apple logo as the unit started up. Charge time varies with settings and environmental factors; actual results will vary.

  12. Wireless broadband recommended; fees may apply.

  13. Product recycled or renewable content is the mass of certified recycled material relative to the overall mass of the device, not including packaging or in-box accessories.

  14. ENERGY STAR and the ENERGY STAR mark are registered trademarks owned by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

  15. Breakdown of U.S. retail packaging by weight. Adhesives, inks, and coatings are excluded from our calculations.

  16. Apple’s Regulated Substances Specification describes Apple’s restrictions on the use of certain chemical substances in materials in Apple products, accessories, manufacturing processes, and packaging used for shipping products to Apple’s end-customers. Restrictions are derived from international laws or directives, regulatory agencies, eco-label requirements, environmental standards, and Apple policies. Every Apple product is free of PVC and phthalates except for AC power cords in India, Thailand (for two-prong AC power cords), and South Korea, where we continue to seek government approval for our PVC and phthalates replacement. Apple products comply with the European Union Directive 2011/65/EU and its amendments, including exemptions for the use of lead such as high-temperature solder. Apple is working to phase out the use of these exempted substances for new products where technically possible.
