If a Freeform link isn't working

If you received a link to Freeform content and it won't open, open the link on a supported Apple device, update your supported device, and make sure to turn on iCloud for Freeform.

You can open Freeform links on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro. Different types of Freeform links have different software requirements depending on the device you're using:

If you're on a supported Apple device and the link still won't open

Update iOS, iPadOS, macOS or visionOS on your Apple device and turn on Freeform for iCloud in your device's settings.

Update your Apple device

Turn on iCloud for Freeform on iPhone or iPad

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings, then tap [your name].

  2. Tap iCloud, then tap See All (or Show All).

  3. Scroll down, then turn on Freeform.

Turn on iCloud for Freeform on Mac

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click your name at the top of the sidebar. If you don't see your name, click “Sign in,” enter your Apple Account email address or phone number, then enter your password.

  2. Click iCloud, click Drive, turn on Sync this Mac under iCloud Drive, then click Done.

  3. Click See All next to Saved to iCloud.

  4. Turn on Freeform. You might have to scroll down to see Freeform.

If you turn off iCloud for Freeform, Freeform collaboration features won't be available.
