If you're asked to agree to an update to your Apple Account
To continue to use iCloud and Apple Media Services associated with your Apple Account, you need to agree to the operation of these services by Apple Services Pte. Ltd. in Singapore, rather than Apple Distribution International Ltd. in Ireland. Once you agree, you can continue to use Apple services without interruption.
Update to your Apple Account
Starting October 26, 2024, iCloud and Apple Media services — like the App Store, Apple Music, and Apple TV — associated with your Apple Account will be operated by Apple Services Pte. Ltd. in Singapore, rather than Apple Distribution International Ltd. in Ireland. Your personal data will be transferred to and processed by Apple Services Pte. Ltd. in Singapore (“Apple Services Singapore”) as the new data controller in accordance with Apple’s Privacy Policy. Regardless of where your personal data is processed, Apple maintains the same high level of protection.
To keep using these services, you need to provide consent to the operation of these services by Apple Services Singapore. If you don’t, you might be asked to sign out of these services before Apple Services Singapore begins operation.
How to provide consent
If you’re already signed in to your device, you’ll see a prompt to agree to the update. You can provide consent right from the prompt.
If you choose to review the update later, you’ll be prompted to agree to the update again.
You will be asked for the same agreement if you create a new Apple Account or sign in to a new device or iCloud.com before Apple Services Singapore begins operation.
If you don’t want to provide consent
If you don’t want to provide your consent to the operation of iCloud and Apple Media services by Apple Services Singapore, you can sign out on all of your devices and stop using iCloud and Apple Media services.
You can also exercise your right to access or delete your personal data (including requesting a copy of the data that you store with Apple) by visiting Apple's Data and Privacy page.
