About Apple ID balance and gift cards in Singapore

Apple is discontinuing the ability to make purchases with an Apple ID balance in Singapore starting July 1, 2024.

Spend your Apple ID balance before Apple discontinues the ability to make purchases with it in Singapore starting July 1, 2024. Any App Store & iTunes gift cards redeemed before then can still be used toward digital purchases. If you don't use your Apple ID balance before July 1, Apple will begin issuing refunds for any remaining balance.

Apple Store gift cards are unaffected by this change, and you can continue to use them at Apple Stores.

What to do before July 1, 2024

Purchases with an Apple ID balance will no longer be possible after July 1, 2024

Starting July 1, you won't be able to use an Apple ID balance for purchases in Singapore. To continue making purchases and to keep your existing subscriptions, make sure you have a different valid payment method on file. If you don't have one, add a payment method.

If you have subscriptions and don't add a payment method before July 1, your subscriptions will automatically expire at their next renewal date.

Any remaining Apple ID balance will be refunded

After spending your balance is no longer possible, Apple will begin to automatically issue refunds for any remaining Apple ID balance to users in Singapore. If you have a balance, your money will be refunded to the default credit or debit card on file as a payment method for your Apple ID. You'll receive a confirmation email when Apple has processed your refund. Afterwards, it might take up to 30 days for your financial institution to show the refund in your account.

If you find additional App Store & iTunes gift cards after July 1, you can continue to redeem them to your Apple ID balance. Apple will automatically return the funds to your default credit or debit card on file after a few weeks. You'll receive a confirmation email when Apple has processed your refund. Afterwards, it might take up to 30 days for your financial institution to show the refund in your account.

If Apple is initially unable to issue a refund to your credit or debit card, you will be notified by email and receive additional instructions on how to receive your refund. If you don't have a credit or debit card to add to your Apple ID, contact Apple Support.
