If you need help with your ZEISS Optical Inserts

Learn what to check if your ZEISS Optical Inserts appear blurry or aren't correcting your vision as expected.

If you see persistent dark or blurry spots

  1. Remove your ZEISS Optical Inserts from your Apple Vision Pro.

  2. Clean your ZEISS Optical Inserts, display, and cover glass.

  3. Inspect them for signs of dirt, dust, or debris.

  4. Reattach your ZEISS Optical Inserts.

  5. If your ZEISS Optical Inserts still appear blurry, try pairing them again.

If you need to verify your prescription

To verify that your prescription is up to date and accurate, go to Settings > Eyes & Hands, then select your ZEISS Optical Inserts. Check that the values match the prescription that you submitted when you ordered your ZEISS Optical Inserts. Or sign in to https://myzeissvision.zeiss.com/ and check that the values match the prescription that you submitted.

If you use ZEISS Optical Inserts — Readers, they are marked on their box and engraved on their frames with corresponding reading glass lens ranges, so that you can easily match the correct one to your reading glass power. Those ranges are translated to a corresponding actual lens power after you pair your ZEISS Optical Inserts with your Apple Vision Pro. In Settings, they appear as:

  • +0.25D (for +0.75 to +1.25D strength)

  • +0.50D (for +1.50 to +1.75D strength)

  • +0.75D (for +2.00 to +2.75D strength)

If you switch between multiple pairs of ZEISS Optical Inserts

If you use multiple prescriptions or you share your Apple Vision Pro with someone who has a different prescription, check the following.

Make sure that your ZEISS Optical Inserts are the correct matching pair

Both ZEISS Optical Inserts attached to your Vision Pro must be a matching pair. To check that the pair of ZEISS Optical Inserts that you're using are a matching pair, look at the serial number on each ZEISS Optical Insert and make sure that they're the same. The serial number is printed on the outer side of the frame of each ZEISS Optical Insert.

If your vision prescription was added to the Health app, you can check that the serial number on your ZEISS Optical Inserts matches what's in your health record: Open the Health app, then select Browse > Body Measurements > Vision Prescription. Select All Prescriptions and then choose the ZEISS Optical Inserts that you want to review. You can also check the serial number at https://myzeissvision.zeiss.com/.

Check that your optical inserts are selected on your Apple Vision Pro

  1. Go to Settings > Eyes & Hands.

  2. Under ZEISS Optical Inserts, check that your ZEISS Optical Inserts are currently selected.

After you swap between different pairs of ZEISS Optical Inserts, if prompted, touch to enter your passcode, then use the Digital Crown to select the correct set of ZEISS Optical Inserts.
