Add a payment method that you and your family can use for the App Store, subscriptions, and more. You might need a payment method to download or update some free apps.

Add a payment method on your device

You can use your device to add a payment method to your Apple Account.

Add a payment method on your iPhone

1. In Settings, tap your name.

2. Tap Payment & Shipping. You might be asked to sign in to your Apple Account.

3. Tap Add Payment Method.

   

4. Enter the payment method details, then confirm that your name, billing address, and other information are spelled correctly and match what you have on file with your financial institution.

5. Tap Done.

If you already have a payment method on file, learn how to change or update your payment method.

Reorder payment methods on your iPhone

1. On the Payment & Shipping screen, tap Edit.

2. Touch and hold a payment method to drag it further up or down your list of payment methods.

3. Tap Done.

1. In the App Store, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar. Or, click the Sign In button and sign in to your Apple Account.

2. On the page that appears, click your name. You might be asked to sign in to your Apple Account.

3. Click Payment Methods.

4. Click Add Payment Method.

5. Enter the payment method details, then confirm that your name, billing address, and other information are spelled correctly and match what you have on file with your financial institution.

6. Click Done.

1. Open the Apple Music app or Apple TV app.

2. Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar. Or, click Sign In and sign in to your Apple Account.

3. Click View My Account. You might need to sign in to your Apple Account.

   

4. Next to Payment Information, click Manage Payments.

5. Click Add Payment.

   

6. Enter the payment method details, then confirm that your name, billing address, and other information are spelled correctly and match what you have on file with your financial institution.

7. Click Done.

Reorder payment methods on your Windows PC

On the Manage Payments screen, use the arrows next to each payment method to move it further up or down your list of payment methods.

Add a payment method online

You can also add a payment method after signing in to account.apple.com.

If you can't add a payment method

• Make sure that your name, billing address, and other information are spelled correctly and match what you have on file with your financial institution.

• Check what payment methods you can use with your Apple Account in your country or region.

• If you're using an accepted payment method but your Apple Account is set to a different country or region, change your country or region.

• Some payment methods require that you verify through your financial institution's app, text message, or other means. Contact your financial institution for help if you're unable to verify.
