If your transit card balance doesn't update in Apple Wallet

When you add money to your transit card in Apple Wallet using Apple Pay and the balance doesn't update, see what you can do.

First, restart your iPhone.

Then, if your balance is still wrong, check the recent transactions on the payment card that you used to add money to your transit card. If you see the charge in your transaction history, the balance on your transit card might be correct, even if the balance in the Wallet app shows a different amount.

If your balance still doesn't update and you don't see the charge in your transaction history:

  1. On your iPhone, open the Wallet app and tap your transit card.

  2. Tap the More buttonNo alt supplied for Image, then tap Card Details.

  3. If you see the option, turn on Service Mode, then authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.

  4. To turn off Service Mode, tap your card.

If these steps don't work, contact your transit card issuer.

Apple Pay is a service provided by Apple Payments Services LLC, a subsidiary of Apple Inc. Neither Apple Inc. nor Apple Payments Services LLC is a bank. Any card used in Apple Pay is offered by the card issuer.
