Continuity features make it seamless to move between your Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro. These are the device and operating system requirements for each feature.

Use AirDrop to wirelessly send documents, photos, videos, websites, map locations, and more from one Apple device to another.

To use this feature, your Mac must be set up to be an AirPlay receiver:
macOS Ventura 13 or later: From the Apple menu , choose System Settings. Click General in the sidebar, then click AirDrop & Continuity (or AirDrop & Handoff) on the right. Turn on AirPlay Receiver.
macOS Monterey 12: From the Apple menu , choose System Preferences. Click Sharing, then select AirPlay Receiver in the sidebar.
Older iPhone, iPad, and Mac models and operating systems can also AirPlay to Mac—at lower video resolutions—if AirPlay Receiver is turned on and the adjacent "Allow AirPlay for" menu is set to either Everyone or Anyone on the Same Network.
You can also use AirPlay to Mac to mirror your view on an Apple Vision Pro to your Mac. And starting with visionOS 2, other devices can use AirPlay to mirror their screen or view to Apple Vision Pro.
Use Apple Pay on your Mac to shop online, then complete your purchase using Apple Pay on your iPhone or Apple Watch.
Use Auto Unlock with your Apple Watch to get instant access to your Mac when wearing your Apple Watch, or quickly approve other requests to enter your Mac administrator password.
Using Apple Watch to approve requests for the Mac administrator password requires watchOS 6 or later.

Apple Watch Series 2 and earlier can use Auto Unlock with macOS Sierra 10.12 or later. Approving requests for the Mac administrator password requires macOS Catalina 10.15 or later.

If you're not sure whether your Mac supports Auto Unlock, press and hold the Option key while choosing System Information from the Apple menu . Select Wi-Fi in the sidebar of System Information, then look for "Auto Unlock: Supported" on the right.
Use your iPhone as a webcam for Mac. Some video effects and mic modes have different requirements.
