Mac Studio (2023) Internal Frame

Before You Begin

Remove the following parts before you begin:

Tools

  • Adjustable torque driver (0.3–1.2 Nm)

  • Torx T6 70 mm bit

Removal

  1. Use the 0.3–1.2 Nm adjustable torque driver and T6 70 mm bit to remove the T6 screw (923-09166) (1) over the power cord port. Then use the adjustable torque driver and T6 70 mm bit to remove the remaining seven T6 screws (923-09151) from the internal frame.

  2. Move the power cord port (1) and power supply signal cable (2) out of the way as you lift the internal frame out of the housing.

Reassembly

  1. Position the internal frame in the housing with the lock slot (1) opposite the SDXC card slot board and the front USB-C ports (2).

  2. Use the 0.3–1.2 Nm adjustable torque driver and T6 70 mm bit to partially reinstall one T6 screw (923-07112) (1) over the power cord port. Then use the adjustable torque driver and T6 70 mm bit to partially reinstall the remaining seven T6 screws (923-09151) into the internal frame.

  3. Set the torque value of the 0.3–1.2 Nm adjustable torque driver to 0.4 Nm. Then use the adjustable torque driver and T6 70 mm bit to fully reinstall one T6 screw over the power cord port (1).

  4. Set the torque value of the 0.3–1.2 Nm adjustable torque driver to 0.6 Nm. Then use the adjustable torque driver and T6 70 mm bit to fully reinstall the other seven T6 screws.
