How to send your Mac to Apple for service
After you’ve contacted Apple for service, you’ll receive a kit that contains everything you need to return your product to Apple.
Before you send your Mac for service
If your Mac won't turn on or respond, finish as many steps as possible:
Erase your Mac
Turn off any third-party security software.
Pack your Mac
The kit that you received from Apple has everything that you need to pack up your Mac — including the box to ship it and the return shipping label. To pack your Mac, follow the steps printed inside the lid of the box.
Don’t include anything else in the box — like power adapter, power cable, SD card(s), keyboard protector, bottom cover, display cover, or any other accessories. If you do, they won’t be returned to you.
Ship your product to Apple
Find the name of the courier on the provided return shipping label.
Visit the courier’s website to schedule a pickup or find a drop-off location.
Make sure to get a receipt from the courier to confirm that you’ve sent your product for service.
Apple is not responsible for any damage during shipping.
