How to leave or remove a member from a Family Sharing group

Any adult can remove themselves from a Family Sharing group. If you're the family organizer, you can remove members or disband the family group completely.

If there are members in the Family Sharing group between 13-17* and Screen Time is enabled for their device, the family organizer must turn off Screen Time before the member can leave or be removed from the family group.

If a child in the Family Sharing group is under 13, the family organizer needs to delete the child's Apple Account and let the deletion take effect before they can remove the child from the family group. Or, the family organizer can move the child's Apple Account to another family group.
