Wake and sleep your iPad with a Smart Cover
Your iPad wakes or sleeps when you open or close your Smart Cover.1
When you use a Smart Cover, always pick up your iPad directly—don't try to pick it up by the cover. The magnets in the Smart Cover aren't designed to lift the iPad.
