AirPort base stations: How to enable Sony PlayStation 4 Remote Play

To enable the Remote Play feature for Sony PlayStation 4, enable these settings on your AirPort base station.

  1. Set up DHCP reservation.
  2. From the Finder on your Mac, click the Go menu and choose Utilities.
  3. Open AirPort Utility.
  4. Select the AirPort Base Station you want to set up, then click Edit. Enter the password if necessary.
  5. Click Network and then choose DHCP and NAT from the Router Mode pop-up menu.
  6. Click the plus sign beneath the Port Mapping field.
  7. Enter a description for the port mapping for each of the three settings (such as PS4-1, PS4-2, and PS4-3). 
  8. Enter the IP address of the Sony PlayStation 4 in the Private IP Address field as shown below. Also, enter the port numbers as shown below. To find the IP address for a PS4, choose Main menu > Settings > Network > View Connection Status.
    • Mapping 1: UDP 9296 PS4
      • Public UDP: 9296
      • Private IP Address
      • Private UDP: 9296
    • Mapping 2: UDP 9297 PS4
      • Public UDP: 9297
      • Private IP Address
      • Private UDP: 9297 
    • Mapping 3: TCP 9295 PS4
      • Public TCP: 9295
      • Private IP Address
      • Private TCP: 9297
  9. Save each one when complete. When you're done the window will look like this:
