iMac (24-inch, M1, 2021, Four ports) Display Backlight Flex Cable

Before You Begin

Removal

1. Position the housing with the back facedown and the top closest to you.

   

2. Peel off the polyester film tape from the end of the display backlight flex cable. Save the polyester film tape for reassembly.

   

3. Squeeze both sides of the end of the display backlight flex cable and pull it straight out of the connector.

   

Reassembly

1. Slide the end of the display backlight flex cable into the connector.

   

2. Reinstall the polyester film tape onto the display backlight flex cable connector.

   • Important: Install new polyester film tape whenever it's provided with a replacement part.

   

Reinstall the following parts to complete reassembly:

• Logic board cover

• Display
