Mark up attachments in your notes on Mac
When you add a PDF, scanned document, or image to your note, you can use Markup to write or draw on the attachment, rotate or crop it, or add shapes or a signature.
Go to the Notes app
on your Mac.
Open the note with the attachment you want to mark up.
Do any of the following:
For a PDF or scanned document: Click
next to the document title, then choose Markup.
For an image: Click
, then choose Markup.
If you don’t see the pop-up menu, you may need to turn on Markup. Choose Apple menu
> System Settings, click General, then click Login Items & Extensions. In By Category, click
next to Actions, then turn on Markup.
Use the tools to mark up the attachment (or use the Touch Bar).
If you’re using a trackpad, you can pinch to zoom in or out. For more on how to use Markup, see Mark up files.
When you’re finished, click Done.
