iMac (24-inch, M1, 2021, Two ports) Camera and Embedded DisplayPort Flex Cable

Before You Begin

Remove the following parts before you begin:

Tools

  • Nylon probe (black stick)

  • Support wedges

Removal

  1. Position the housing with the back facedown and the top closest to you.

  2. Pull the tab to flip up the locking bar on the camera and embedded DisplayPort (eDP) flex cable (1).

  3. Slide the end of the camera and eDP flex cable straight out of the connector to remove it from the housing (2).

Reassembly

  1. Slide the end of the camera and eDP flex cable into the connector (1). Then flip down the locking bar (2).

Reinstall the following parts to complete reassembly:
