If your iPhone or iPad widgets reset to default settings after you restore from backup

Apple has discovered an issue where widgets might revert to their default settings after you restore your iPhone or iPad from a backup.

This issue affects only a limited number of these devices:

  • iPhone 13
  • iPhone 13 mini
  • iPhone 13 Pro
  • iPhone 13 Pro Max
     
  • iPad (9th generation)
  • iPad mini (6th generation)
     

If you experience this issue, here's how to customize your widgets again:

  1. Touch and hold a widget to open the quick actions menu.
  2. Tap Edit [widget name].
  3. Make your changes, then tap outside of the widget to exit.

If you don’t see Edit [widget name], the widget that you’re trying to edit has no settings that can be modified.
