Studio Display XDR VESA Mount Adapter

Before You Begin

Danger

Ensure that the AC power cord isn’t plugged into an electrical outlet.

Remove the following parts before you begin:

Tools

  • Adjustable torque wrench (2.5–25 Nm)

  • Alignment pins (stand and VESA mount adapter)

  • Torx Plus 20IP 70 mm bit

Refer to a full list of tools required for all repairs.

Important

Discard the screws you remove from the VESA mount adapter according to your local recycling guidelines.

Removal

Note: If you’ve already completed the removal steps, skip to reassembly.

Caution

Don’t reinstall the screws you remove in step 1. A replacement VESA mount adapter will include new screws.

  1. Lay the housing flat on the table. Use the 2.5–25 Nm adjustable torque wrench and 20IP bit to remove the seven 20IP screws (452-12237).

  2. Lift the housing from the VESA mount adapter.

Reassembly

Important

To replace the VESA mount adapter with a tilt- and height-adjustable stand, follow the reassembly steps in Stand.

Note: The VESA mount adapter screws referenced in the following procedure are included with a replacement VESA adapter assembly (923-14038), VESA mount upgrade kit (923-14040), and housing assembly (923-13991).

  1. Insert the adapter plate into the VESA mount adapter.

  2. Install two alignment pins into the adapter plate.

  3. Use the alignment pins to position the housing onto the VESA mount adapter.

  4. Use the 2.5–25 Nm adjustable torque wrench and 20IP bit to install five mounting screws (452-12237) in the order shown. Hand-tighten each screw in the order shown.

  5. Set the torque value on the 2.5–25 Nm adjustable torque wrench to 3.1 Nm. Use the adjustable torque wrench and 20IP bit to tighten the screws in the order shown.

  6. Remove the two alignment pins. Keep the 2.5–25 Nm adjustable torque wrench value at 3.1 Nm. Use the adjustable torque wrench and 20IP bit to install two 20IP screws (452-12237) as shown.

Reinstall the following parts to complete reassembly:
