Where to find downloads on your iPhone or iPad

If you download a file onto your iPhone or iPad from the internet, you can find it in your Downloads folder in the Files app.

Find downloads in the Files app

  1. Open the Files app. Don't have the blue Files app icon on your Home Screen? Swipe down from the center of your Home Screen, then search for the Files app.

    Search for "files" on your iPhone, and the Files app is a top result.

  2. Tap the Browse tab.

  3. Tap iCloud Drive.

  4. Tap the Downloads folder to see your downloaded files.

    In the Files app, go to iCloud Drive to find the Downloads folder.

If you just downloaded a file from Safari

  1. Next to the search field in Safari, tap the Downloads button.

  2. Tap Downloads to see your downloaded files.

    After you download a file in Safari, a Downloads button appears next to the search field.
