Upload custom fonts in News Publisher
Apple News supports the use of custom fonts that reflect your publication’s brand. Your Apple News Technical Representative can enable custom fonts for your channel.
To use custom fonts in your channel’s articles, upload TrueType (TTF) or OpenType (OTF) fonts to News Publisher. Fonts up to 5 MB are supported; fonts 1 MB or smaller are recommended.
Go to icloud.com, sign in, then click News Publisher.
Go to Settings > Branding > Fonts.
Click Upload Fonts, then select the fonts you want, or drag them into the button area.
Click Done when the fonts are uploaded.
The Fonts page lists all fonts uploaded to the channel in alphabetical order according to PostScript name. You can copy a PostScript name to use that font in ANF articles that you hand code in a text editor. For more information, see the Apple Developer document Text Styles.
Note: Fonts can also be included with individual articles that you deliver from your CMS or upload to News Publisher. You don’t need to include fonts that have already been uploaded to your channel.
