How do I get my AirPort device fixed?
Apple offers many ways to get support and service for your AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme, or AirPort Time Capsule. Choose the one that’s best for you. Our support articles might answer some of your questions, including how to set up Wi-Fi or AirPlay, connect a printer to your network, or restore your content from an AirPort Time Capsule backup.
Contact us to get advice from an Apple Support expert. We’ll try to help you over the phone or set up a repair. Before you contact us, be ready with your AirPort device's serial number and the serial number of the Mac or iOS device that you use with your AirPort Wi-Fi base station.

Contact us. If we determine that you have a hardware issue, we’ll give you shipping instructions for your AirPort device. We’ll service or replace it as soon as possible.

How much will it cost?
There's no charge if the issue is covered under warranty, an AppleCare plan, or consumer law. If your issue isn’t covered, the price depends on the type of repair. If we can’t repair your AirPort device, you might need to replace it.

Apple Limited Warranty coverage
Our Limited Warranty covers your AirPort device and Apple-branded accessories against manufacturing defects for one year from the date you bought them. The Apple Limited Warranty is in addition to rights provided by consumer law.
Our warranty doesn't cover damage caused by accidents or unauthorized modifications. See the warranty for complete details. You can check your warranty status online and update your proof-of-purchase information if there's an error in our records.
Can I buy additional coverage for my AirPort device?
If you buy an AppleCare Protection Plan for Mac or Apple TV, or AppleCare+ for iPad, it includes expert telephone support and hardware service coverage for your AirPort device. Your AppleCare plan will cover your AirPort product if:
- You bought your AirPort device no more than two years before you buy the Mac, Apple TV, or iPad, or
- You bought an AirPort device during the term of your AppleCare plan for Mac, Apple TV, or iPad
You may also have consumer law rights. Apple Limited Warranty and AppleCare plan benefits are in addition to your rights under consumer law.
Repairs are considered out of warranty when:
- Your AirPort device is over one year old
- Your product has an issue that’s not covered under warranty or consumer law, like accidental damage or damage caused by unauthorized modifications
We charge for out-of-warranty service. If we find a hardware issue with your AirPort device, we can service or replace it. Your replacement product will be new or equivalent to new in both performance and reliability. Contact your service representative for details. The Apple Limited Warranty is in addition to rights provided by consumer law.
Get ready for AirPort service
Keep your cables and other accessories when you get service.
We guarantee our service, including replacement parts, for 90 days or the remaining term of your Apple warranty or AppleCare plan coverage, whichever is longer. We offer this whenever you get service from us or from an Apple Authorized Service Provider. This is in addition to rights provided by consumer law.
