Apple Business Essentials is a free app to get the apps and support you need from your company, all in one place. The Essentials app is installed automatically when you sign in with your Managed Apple ID that’s enrolled in Apple Business Essentials device management.
The Apps tab shows you all of the apps assigned to you by your company. Apps can come from the App Store (iPhone, iPad and Mac) or directly from your company (Mac only). To install an assigned app from the App Store, tap or click the download button . You won’t be charged for downloading or purchasing these apps. When you use Essentials to install apps, your company can update or remove them. Mac apps assigned to you directly from your company are installed automatically and cannot be removed by your company. If you want to delete an app assigned by your company, you can delete it manually.
The Devices tab shows you all of your devices managed by Apple Business Essentials with an active subscription as well as their current AppleCare service and support cover.
Some features within the Apple Business Essentials app are limited until an organisation verifies enrolment. Please refer to the feature list for Apple Business Essentials for more information.
If you have a device covered by AppleCare+ for Business Essentials, you can submit a repair request and track the status of your repair in the Devices tab. You can also cancel your request if it’s no longer needed.
If you see "Sign In Required"
If you install the Essentials app from the App Store or sign out of your device, you’ll see a message stating sign-in is required and you won’t be able to use the app. To use the Essentials app, remove the app from your device and sign in with your Managed Apple ID. If you need help, contact your Apple Business Essentials administrator.
