How to clean the nano-texture glass on your Apple display

If your Apple Studio Display, Apple Pro Display XDR, iMac or iPad Pro (M4) has nano-texture glass, follow these important guidelines to prevent damage when cleaning the screen.

Clean the nano-texture glass

To remove dust or smudges from the nano-texture glass screen, use the polishing cloth that came with your Studio Display, Pro Display XDR, iMac or iPad Pro (M4).

For infrequent cleaning of hard-to-remove smudges, you can moisten the cloth with a 70 per cent isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution.

If you lose the included cloth, you can order a replacement polishing cloth.

Clean the polishing cloth

  1. Hand-wash the polishing cloth with washing-up liquid and water.

  2. Rinse thoroughly.

  3. Allow the polishing cloth to air-dry for at least 24 hours.
