Apple Watch Series 12 - Tech Specs

1. Apple Intelligence is available with Siri and device language set to Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish or Vietnamese. Some features may not be available in all regions or languages. Some devices may not be available in all regions. Siri AI is available in beta in watchOS 27 and requires an Apple Intelligence–enabled device set to a supported language. Available in English to start. Siri AI will not be initially available in the EU on watchOS. 2. Audio Intelligence includes Live Rewind, Siri Recap, Sound Recognition, and faster Shazam and requires Apple Watch Series 12 or Apple Watch Ultra 4. Live Rewind and Siri Recap will be available in beta in late 2026 and require an Apple Intelligence–enabled iPhone 16 or later (excluding iPhone 16e). 3. The Blood Oxygen app is for wellness purposes only and not for medical use.

4. The temperature sensing feature is not intended for medical use. Temperature sensing is available on Apple Watch Series 8 and later, Apple Watch SE 3 and all Apple Watch Ultra models.

5. The Vitals app is for wellness purposes only and not for medical use.

6. The ECG app is available on Apple Watch Series 4 and later (excluding Apple Watch SE models) and all Apple Watch Ultra models and can generate an ECG similar to a single-lead electrocardiogram. Intended for use by people 22 years old or older.

7. Irregular rhythm notifications are not intended for use by people under 22 years old or those who have been previously diagnosed with atrial fibrillation (AF).

8. The Cycle Tracking app should not be used for birth control or to diagnose a health condition. Cycle deviation notifications are based solely on the user’s logged cycle history. Cycle deviation notifications inclusive of perimenopause are for people 40 years old or older. These notifications are not intended to replace traditional methods of diagnosis, monitoring or treatment of perimenopause or menopause.

9. The Medications feature should not be used as a substitute for professional medical judgement. Additional information is available on the labels of your medications, but please consult your healthcare provider prior to making any decisions related to your health.

10. Sleep apnoea notifications are available on Apple Watch Series 9 and later, Ultra 2 and later, and SE 3. The feature is intended to detect signs of moderate to severe sleep apnoea for people 18 years old or older without a diagnosis of sleep apnoea.

11. Hypertension notifications are not intended for use by people under 22 years old, those who have been previously diagnosed with hypertension, or pregnant persons.

12. All‑day battery life testing includes: 300 time checks, 90 notifications, 15 minutes of app use, a 60‑minute workout with music playback from Apple Watch via Bluetooth, and 6 hours of sleep tracking over the course of 24 hours; Apple Watch Series 12 (GPS) usage includes connection to iPhone via Bluetooth during the entire 24‑hour test; Apple Watch Series 12 (GPS + Cellular) usage includes a total of 4 hours of cellular connection and 20 hours of connection to iPhone via Bluetooth over the course of 24 hours. Battery life testing in Low Power Mode includes: 530 time checks, 160 notifications, 26 minutes of app use, a 60‑minute workout with music playback from Apple Watch via Bluetooth, and 6 hours of sleep tracking over the course of 38 hours; Apple Watch Series 12 (GPS) usage includes connection to iPhone via Bluetooth during the entire 38‑hour test; Apple Watch Series 12 (GPS + Cellular) usage includes on‑demand cellular connection and 30 hours of connection to iPhone via Bluetooth over the course of 38 hours. 15. 16. Offline Maps is available for Apple Watch Series 6 and later, Apple Watch SE 2 and later, and all Apple Watch Ultra models with watchOS 26 or later. Requires iPhone 11 or later with iOS 26 or later. Not available in all countries and regions.

17. Emergency SOS requires a cellular connection or Wi‑Fi calling with an internet connection from your Apple Watch or nearby iPhone. You can use cellular models of Apple Watch to make an emergency call in many locations, provided that mobile service is available. Some mobile networks may not accept an emergency call from your Apple Watch if your Apple Watch isn’t activated, if it isn’t compatible with or configured to operate on a particular mobile network, if it isn’t set up for mobile service, or if the mobile network does not support emergency calling over IMS. 19. Apple Watch Series 12 has a water resistance rating of 50 metres under ISO standard 22810:2010. This means that it may be used for shallow-water activities like swimming in a pool or ocean or snorkelling to a depth of 6 metres. It should not be used for scuba diving, waterskiing or other high-velocity water sports. Water resistance is not a permanent condition and can diminish over time. 26. Product recycled or renewable content is the mass of certified recycled material relative to the overall mass of the device, not including packaging or in‑box accessories. Recycled and renewable plastic content calculation includes mass balance allocation.

All established final assembly supplier sites — those that have been Apple suppliers for more than one year — for Apple Watch Series 12 are third‑party verified as Zero Waste by UL LLC (UL 2799 Standard). UL requires at least 90% diversion through methods other than waste to energy to achieve Zero Waste to Landfill (Silver 90–94%, Gold 95–99% and Platinum 100%) designations.

31. Apple’s Regulated Substances Specification describes Apple’s restrictions on the use of certain chemical substances in materials in Apple products, accessories, manufacturing processes and packaging used for shipping products to Apple’s end customers. Restrictions are derived from international laws or directives, regulatory agencies, eco-label requirements, environmental standards and Apple policies. Every Apple product is free of PVC and phthalates except for AC power leads in India, Thailand (for two-pin AC power leads) and South Korea, where we continue to seek government approval for our PVC and phthalates replacement. Apple products comply with the European Union Directive 2011/65/EU and its amendments, including exemptions for the use of lead such as high-temperature solder. Apple is working to phase out the use of these exempted substances for new products where technically possible.
