Use FaceTime or other video-conferencing apps instead of Keynote Live
To share a Keynote slideshow live over the internet, use FaceTime or another video-conferencing app instead of Keynote Live, which is no longer available.
For the best experience when sharing a slideshow in a video conference, update to the latest version of the Keynote app and to the latest version of macOS, iOS or iPadOS on your device.
Share your slideshow with FaceTime
You can play your presentation during a FaceTime call so the call’s participants can view it at the same time on their own devices. You can quickly share your slideshow in a window while on a FaceTime call – or present in full-screen mode.
Share your slideshow quickly on Mac
To share your slideshow quickly while on a FaceTime call on Mac, simply click the presenter display will appear in two windows on your screen, while the slideshow window will be shared with the FaceTime participants.

Start your FaceTime call, then click the
in the menu bar at the top of the screen.In the pop-up menu, click the
, then click Window.Open your slideshow in Keynote, then select the slide you want to start with in the editor.
Choose Play > In Fullscreen, click the
, then click Share Slideshow.If you have one display, the slideshow will appear in full screen on your Mac and for the participants of the FaceTime call.
If you have two displays, the presenter display will appear on one of your displays – and the slideshow will appear in full screen on your other display and for the participants of the FaceTime call.
To stop sharing your presentation, click the
in the menu bar, then click Stop Sharing this Window.
Present your slideshow in full screen on your iPhone or iPad
Start your FaceTime call.
Tap the FaceTime window to show the FaceTime controls, tap the
, then tap Share My Screen.Switch to Keynote, then open the presentation you want to share.
Tap the slide you want to start with, then tap the
.To stop sharing your presentation, switch to FaceTime, tap the screen to show the controls, then tap the
.

Share your Keynote presentation with other apps
Other video-conferencing apps, such as Zoom and Webex, support screen sharing on iPhone, iPad and Mac. You may need to initiate a screen sharing session before starting playback in Keynote. If you are presenting in a window on Mac, the presenter display will be hidden from other participants.
