Out-of-warranty service

Service is considered out of warranty when:

  • Your Apple Watch is beyond the eligible warranty term.
  • Your Apple Watch has an issue that’s not covered under the Apple Limited Warranty or consumer law, such as accidental damage when you don’t have an AppleCare+ plan.
  • Your Apple Watch service isn’t covered by an AppleCare+ plan.

In most cases, you’ll pay an out-of-warranty fee. Certain types of damage or unauthorized modifications might require paying the full replacement value fee.

If you have AppleCare+, it includes accidental damage protection. Coverage does not include cosmetic damage, such as scratches. Each incident has a service fee. AppleCare+ incidents can be used for screen damage. If you don’t have AppleCare+, you’ll pay an out-of-warranty fee. Ask your service provider for an estimate.
