To learn how to earn achievements, open the Activity app on your iPhone, tap the Achievements tab, then tap an award. To earn an achievement, use the fitness apps on your Apple Watch. You might use the Activity app, Workout app, or any app that adds workouts to Health.
When you earn an achievement, a notification appears on your Apple Watch with your award. You can earn some achievements multiple times. For example, you might earn a Perfect Week (Stand) more than once.
View your achievements
On your iPhone, open the Activity app, then tap the Achievements tab.
To see when you earned an achievement and why, tap the award. To see the back of the award, swipe left or right.
Earn special achievements for Activity challenges
Every so often, you can complete a special Activity challenge and earn a special award, like the Ring in the New Year Challenge. Before the challenge begins, you'll receive a notification from the Activity app on your Apple Watch about how to earn the special achievement.
When available, you can view these special challenges in the Activity app on your iPhone. These challenges are only available for a limited time, and if you don't earn the achievement during the specified period, it will no longer be available.
Find your issue below. If you don't see your issue, contact Apple Support.
If you complete an achievement, but don't earn the award
You will earn the award within 9 days of completing the Activity Challenge.
If you don't see Activity challenges on your iPhone or Apple Watch
If an Activity challenge already occurred, it won't appear on your Achievements tab.
After each step, see if the challenge appears:
- Make sure that your iPhone and Apple Watch are up to date. To see Activity challenges, you need watchOS 3.1 or later and iOS 10.1 or later.
- Make sure that your Apple Watch can connect to Wi-Fi, so it can download the challenge.
Some challenges are offered in certain regions only. To check your region on your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app, then tap General > Language & Region.
