Photomator compared to Pixelmator Pro
For fast photo-editing workflows with the ability for batch editing, use Photomator. To create designs from scratch by combining images, shapes, or text, use Pixelmator Pro.
Photomator and Pixelmator Pro have been designed to work together. Both apps have been designed for seamless edit-syncing through iCloud, which makes it easy to round-trip workflows between apps. For example, edit a photo in Photomator, save it to iCloud, then open the file in Pixelmator Pro to add text, shapes, captions, and more.
Layered PXD files (the non-destructive Pixelmator Pro file format) open flattened in Photomator.
Supported RAW formats
Photomator supports over 750 different RAW formats including Apple ProRAW formats.
