iPhone 16e Top Speaker
Before You Begin
Warning
Read Battery Safety and follow workspace and battery handling guidelines before you begin.
Remove the following parts before you begin:
Tools
Adjustable torque driver (10–34 Ncm)
JCIS bit for adjustable torque driver
JCIS bit for fixed driver
ESD-safe tweezers
Nylon probe (black stick)
Super screw bit for fixed driver
Torque driver (blue, 0.65 kgf cm)
Torque driver (gray, 0.55 kgf cm)
Refer to a full list of tools required for all repairs.

Removal
Use a torque driver and the super screw bit to remove the super screw from the camera spacer. Set aside the screw.
Use a torque driver and the fixed driver JCIS bit to remove the six crosshead screws. Set aside the screws.
Remove the camera spacer and save it for reassembly.
Lift the end of the camera flex cable from the connector (1) and move the flex cable aside to access the top speaker. Lift the end of the top speaker flex cable (2) from the connector. Then remove the top speaker from the enclosure.
Reassembly
Move the camera flex cable aside to position the replacement top speaker in the enclosure.
Press the ends of the camera flex cable (1) and top speaker flex cable (2) to the connectors.
Position the camera spacer in the enclosure as shown.
Set the torque value on the 10–34 Ncm adjustable torque driver to 14.5 Ncm. Use the adjustable torque driver and adjustable torque driver JCIS bit to install one new crosshead screw (923-12363) into the camera.
Use the blue torque driver and super screw bit to install one new super screw into the camera spacer (923-12364).
Use the gray torque driver and fixed driver JCIS bit to install one new crosshead screw (923-08504) into the top speaker. Ensure that the screw is flush with the enclosure.
Use the blue torque driver and fixed driver JCIS bit to install one new crosshead screw (923-12457) (1) into the top speaker.
Use the blue torque driver and fixed driver JCIS bit to install two new crosshead screws (923-12365) (2) into the top speaker.
Use the blue torque driver and fixed driver JCIS bit to install one new crosshead screw (923-12366) (3) into the top speaker.
Reinstall the following parts to complete reassembly:
