iMac (24-inch, 2024, Two ports) Low-Speed Flex Cable
Before You Begin
Remove the following parts before you begin:
Tools
Adjustable torque driver (10–34 Ncm)
Nylon probe (black stick)
Torx Plus 3IP 25 mm bit
Refer to a full list of tools required for all repairs.

Removal
Note: If you’ve already completed the removal steps, skip to reassembly.
Caution
Don’t bend the logic board when removing or reinstalling the low-speed flex cable.
Note: You can perform this procedure with the logic board placed inside the service part packaging. Otherwise, perform the following steps on an ESD-safe surface.
Use the 10–34 Ncm adjustable torque driver and 3IP bit to remove the two 3IP screws (923-11031) from the low-speed flex cable to logic board connector cowling. Then remove the cowling and save it for reassembly.
Use the flat end of the black stick to lift the end of the low-speed flex cable off the connector on the logic board.
Reassembly
Gently press the end of the low-speed flex cable to the connector on the logic board.
Caution: Don’t bend the connector.
Set the torque value on the 10–34 Ncm adjustable torque driver to 10 Ncm.
Position the low-speed flex cable to logic board connector cowling over the connector. Then use the adjustable torque driver and 3IP bit to install the two 3IP screws (923-11031) into the cowling.
Important: If you’re installing a replacement low-speed flex cable, leave the adhesive release liners in place until you reinstall the logic board and low-speed flex cable in the housing.
