OS X Server: About sharing files on disk images
Learn how to share files that reside on a disk image (.dmg).
In OS X Server, you can share files that are on a disk image by mounting the disk image and then sharing it using Server app. If you restart the server you will need to manually mount the disk image again to make it accessible to clients.
Note: In order to share a disk image over AFP you must first update the server to OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.2 or later.
