Mute student devices with Classroom

You can mute students’ devices. This sets the volume to zero. The students can then manually increase the volume again if desired.

Note: This action decreases the volume for media only. System sounds and alerts can still be heard.

Mute devices

Open the Classroom app on your Mac, then do one of the following:
- Select all the students.
- Select a specific group.
- Manually create a group.
Click Mute in the toolbar to mute the device for each student.
