How to save photos from a shared album
If you want to save a photo or video from a shared album in the Photos app, add it to your photo library.
Shared Album content isn't automatically saved to your device. To save a photo or video from a shared album in the Photos app, add it to your photo library. Any comments or likes attached to a photo or video in a shared album aren't saved with the photo or video.
In version 27 or later of iOS, iPadOS, visionOS, or macOS, photos in a shared album are stored in iCloud in their original formats at full resolution.
In version 26 or earlier of iOS, iPadOS, visionOS, or macOS, photos in a shared album are reduced to 2048 pixels on the long edge, panoramic photos can be up to 5400 pixels wide, and videos are delivered at up to 720p resolution. To have a copy in its original resolution, keep your originals in your photo library. If you delete content from your photo library after uploading to a shared album, you no longer have access to the full resolution file.

Save a photo from a shared album on your iPhone, iPad, or Vision Pro
Open the Photos app, then tap Collections.
Scroll down to Shared Albums, then tap a shared album to open it.
Select the photo or video in the shared album that you want to save.
Tap .
Tap Save Image.
Save a photo from a shared album on your Mac
Open the Photos app.
In the Sharing section of the sidebar, click a shared album to open it.
Control-click the photo or video in the shared album that you want to save.
Select Save to Library or Import.
