
Reset data and report concerns in Stocks on Mac
Apple News recommendations in the Stocks app are based on the Apple News stories you read in Stocks, where available, and you can clear these recommendations. Apple News and Stocks use an identifier to report statistics to news publishers, which you can reset at any time. You can also report a concern about business-related news stories you read in Stocks.
Note: Apple News isn’t available in all countries or regions. See the Apple Support article Availability of Apple Media Services.
Clear recommendations
Apple News recommendations in the Stocks app are based on Apple News stories you read in Stocks, where available. Your choice affects all your Apple devices where you sign in to the same Apple Account and have Stocks turned on in iCloud settings.
Go to the Stocks app
on your Mac.
Choose Stocks > Clear Recommendations Data, then click Clear.
Reset your data
You can reset the identifier used by Apple News and Stocks to report statistics to business news publishers at any time.
Go to the Stocks app
on your Mac.
Choose Stocks > Reset Identifier, then click Reset Identifier.
To learn more about the identifier, choose Help > About Stocks & Privacy while using the Stocks app.
Report a concern
If you believe a news story is mislabeled, inappropriate, offensive, or doesn’t display properly, you can report it.
Note: You can report a concern only where Apple News is available.
Go to the Stocks app
on your Mac.
While viewing a story, click
in the top right of the story, then choose Report a Concern.
Click a category below the heading “What’s your concern?” and follow the onscreen instructions.
Click Send.
