Organize playlists in folders in Music on Mac
To help you organize your songs and music videos, you can create folders, then add standard and smart playlists and other folders to them. (You can’t add individual songs, playlists from Apple Music or other users, or videos directly to a folder.)
Go to the Music app
on your Mac.
Choose File > New > Playlist Folder.
Type a name for the folder and press Return.
To rename a folder, double-click it and type the new name.
To add items to the folder, drag playlists or other folders into the folder.
To move a folder out of another folder, drag it toward the left edge of the Music window.
Note: If you want to change the order of the items in the folder, select the folder, then choose View > Sort By.
If you delete a folder, all the playlists and folders inside that folder are deleted; however, the songs in the playlist or folder remain in your music library and on your computer.
Changes you make to your playlist folders are updated across all your devices when Sync Library is turned on in General settings. If you’re not an Apple Music subscriber, the changes appear in your library the next time you sync your device with Music on your computer.
