Find group photos and videos on Mac
The Photos app groups people and pets who often appear together in photos and videos, and sorts them into group collections. For example, if you have many pictures of your family or group of friends, Photos uses on-device technology to create a collection for each of those groups.
Find group photos and videos
Go to the Photos app on your Mac.
Click People & Pets (or People) in the sidebar.
Below Groups, double-click a group to see your photos of that group.
To share the photos in the group, click in the toolbar, then choose a share option.
Create a group
You can create a group with any combination of people and pets from the People & Pets collection.
Go to the Photos app on your Mac.
Click People & Pets (or People) in the sidebar.
Click Create (to the right of Groups), then select people or pets to include in the group.
Click Add.
Edit or delete a group
Go to the Photos app on your Mac.
Click People & Pets (or People) in the sidebar.
Below Groups, Control-click the group you want to edit, then do any of the following:
Rename the group: Choose Rename this Group, then type a new name.
Add people: Choose Add People, then select the people you want to add.
Remove people: Choose Remove People, then select the people you want to remove.
Delete the group: Choose Remove This Group.
Change the order of groups
Go to the Photos app on your Mac.
Click People & Pets (or People) in the sidebar.
In Groups, drag each group to a new position.
