After you take a screenshot in iOS 26, your device automatically displays the screenshot with quick tools available. You can draw on the image with Markup, crop your image, send the screenshot to other apps or contacts, or tap the save buttonnull to choose where to save your screenshot on your device.

In iOS 26, you can quickly edit, save and share a screenshot right after you capture it.

In iOS 18 and earlier, a thumbnail temporarily appears in the lower-left corner of your screen. Tap the thumbnail to open it or swipe left to dismiss it.

  1. Press the Side button and the Volume up button at the same time.

  2. Quickly release both buttons.

  3. After you take a screenshot, edit, share or save it. In iOS 18 or earlier, a thumbnail temporarily appears in the lower-left corner of your screen. Tap the thumbnail to open it or swipe left to dismiss it.
