AirPort Utility availability and compatibility
Apple has discontinued AirPort Utility, which was used to configure and update AirPort Time Capsule, AirPort Extreme Base Station and AirPort Express Base Station. Here’s how to get AirPort Utility if you still need it.
macOS 26, iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 are the last operating systems to officially support AirPort Utility. All AirPort hardware and software products are now discontinued.
How to get AirPort Utility
Mac: AirPort Utility is included with macOS 26 or earlier, and upgrading to macOS 27 or later won’t remove it.
iPhone, iPad: If you’ve previously downloaded AirPort Utility, you can download it from your App Store purchase history. If it has already been installed, upgrading to iOS 27, iPadOS 27 or later won’t remove it.
